Ireland opened their Six Nations Championship campaign with an impressive 38-17 over France this morning.

Flyhalf Josh Crowley had a fine day with his kicking boots scoring a total of 13 points through penalties and conversions.

Ireland took advantage of France’s one-man down after locks Paul Williemse copped two yellow cards in the first half that resulted in a red card in the 30th minute.

The Irish held a slight 17-10 lead at halftime before pulling away in the second spell with 3 converted tries to France’s 1.

Ireland also had their fair share of 1 man down after flanker Peter O’Mahony was yellow-carded in the 52nd minute but France could not capitalise.

In other matches, Italy will take on England at 2.15am tomorrow and Wales will play Scotland at 4.45am tomorrow.
