Investing in training school leaders contributes significantly to the overall success and growth of educational institutions.

Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro highlighted this while launching the School Planning -Training of Trainers Program where he stated that it is crucial to remember that planning is the cornerstone of success, as it plays a pivotal role in shaping our educational journey.

Radrodro says the reinstatement of the MOE Training Unit is a reflection of his commitment to the enhancement of education through regular and robust training that the unit must establish in 2024 and adds that this is an area identified to be the gap that needs to be approved.

He also emphasised that 2024 will be a year with a difference as they collaborate and work towards the ministry's common goal of better service delivery to serve stakeholders and ensure that teaching and learning are enhanced in all 900 schools.

The minister also acknowledged the Divisional and District Education officers for their commitment in the 2023 academic year. He says as we embark on Training of Trainers for School planning, regular and robust training ensures that the 2023 Denarau Declaration and the 2023-2026 MOE Strategic Plan which is a roadmap for the next 10 years is communicated to all teachers and relevant stakeholders and is implemented at school level where every child and teacher lives by the MOE guidelines.

Radrodro says the Divisional and District Education Officers are the mediators in communicating information to the schools as the ministry relies on them to disseminate, train and implement the plans of MOE and to ensure that all Head of Schools in the Education Districts are trained and must submit their aligned school Strategic Plan and Costed Operation Plan in the given timeline.
