Investigators have gathered witness statements and obtained CCTV footage that have determined the circumstances surrounding 17-year-old Aryan Narayan’s death after his body was found in the Rewa River last Thursday.

This has been confirmed by Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro who says two witnesses have come forward with items belonging to the victim allegedly found along the Rewa Bridge walkway.

She says another witness, a taxi driver has come forward with information that he allegedly picked the 17 year old and dropped him near a service station outlet in Nausori.

Naisoro says investigators have obtained CCTV footage from businesses located near the Rewa Bridge whereby the victim is seen jumping off the bridge on 19th October.

She says investigators have relayed their findings to the victim's family and are now looking into the circumstances that led to the incident.

Narayan was reported missing from his Wainibokasi home on Tuesday morning.

His father, Nitesh Narayan had told fijivillage earlier that Aryan wanted to eat chicken curry last Tuesday and had gone to a nearby shop at around 11am to buy a chicken.

He says Aryan failed to return home.

According to Narayan, Aryan had $18 with him when he left home.
