People are urged to take necessary precautions as the heavy rain alert remains in force for the whole of Fiji.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain is affecting the group.
They say occasional rain, heavy at times, and a few thunderstorms can be experienced over most places, and rain is expected to ease over most areas from today.
Possible impacts could include flash flooding of flood-prone and low-lying informal settlements and communities, businesses, and Irish crossings, which may result in traffic disruptions.
Slippery road surfaces may lead to hazardous driving conditions, increased risk of accidents, and travel delays, particularly in low-lying or poorly drained areas.
Some areas in the Central Division are flooded, including Wailea in Vatuwaqa, Queens Road at Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, Grantham Road in Raiwai, Muslim League Settlement, Wailekutu near Father Law Home, and Korovisilou in Serua.
