A heavy rain alert that was previously in force for the whole of the Fiji group has been cancelled.
The Nadi Weather Office says a weakening trough of low pressure remains slow-moving over the country and continues to drift eastwards, while the associated cloud and showers will affect parts of Fiji until later today.
They say there will be occasional showers over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the Lomaiviti and Lau groups, and cloudy periods with some showers over the southern, eastern and interior parts of Viti Levu.
