Former MPs Niko Nawaikula, Ratu Suliano Matanitobua and Salote Radrodro

The appeal hearing of former MPs Ratu Suliano Matanitobua, Niko Nawaikula and Salote Radrodro will take place in March.

Ratu Suliano and Radrodro's applications will be heard on the 1st of March while Nawaikula's application will be heard on the 4th of March.

They were convicted and sentenced on a charge each of giving false information to a public servant and obtaining financial advantage last year, and they are appealing the conviction and the sentence.

They along with former MP Adi Litia Qionibaravi are also appealing against the matter being transferred to the High Court from the Magistrates Court.

As FICAC will not be prosecuting Adi Litia on the charges of giving false information to a public servant and obtaining financial advantage, her lawyer Jagath Karunaratne has filed a notice of abandonment.

FICAC had filed a nolle prosequi as Adi Litia is not fit to stand trial due to her medical condition.
