The Ministry of Health and Medical Services says it is preparing to roll out Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to children aged 12-14 years old from 15th November 2021.

As of 5th November 2021, a total of 32,533 children aged 15 to 17 years old have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 20,059 have received their second dose.

The Ministry says parents who have children between the age groups of 15 to 17 years are encouraged to get their children vaccinated to gain maximum protection against COVID-19.

It further says COVID-19 vaccination for children is not compulsory however, COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective and provide protection against severe illness, hospitalisation and death by disease.
