HK 7s: Naikausa scores 3 tries to help Fiji Men's 7s bounce back and demolish Canada 45-5 in second pool match

Fiji Airways National Men's 7s rookie foward Viliame Naikausa scored 3 tries to help them bounce back and secure a comfortable 45-5 win over Canada in their second pool match of the HSBC Hong Kong 7s pool match.

Fiji took a 24-0 lead at halftime after scoring 4 tries through Ponipate Loganimasi, Joseva Talacolo and Naikausa with two tries as well as two conversions.

Canada scored their only try straight from kick off with the conversion missing to trail 24-5.

Fiji regrouped and scored a further 3 converted tries through captain Vatemo Ravouvou, Waisea Nacuqu and Naikausa for the win.

They will now turn their focus to their third game against France at 5.43pm today for their final pool match.

The men’s cup quarterfinals kick off at 9.09pm tonight, the semifinals are at 5.40pm tomorrow and the cup final is at 10.53pm Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s will play Ireland at 3.02pm today in their final pool match.

The Women’s cup quarterfinals start at 7.34pm tonight, the cup semifinals are at 4.54pm Sunday with the final at 10.13pm Sunday. The Hong Kong 7s kicks off today and ends on Sunday.
