Defending the title is not going to be easy - Delai

By Mosese Raqio
Friday 14/04/2023

When you are the champion, there will be a lot of challenges and defending your title is going to be tough.

This has been stated by Suva Grammar School athletics coach Jone Delai.

He says their preparation towards this year’s Coca-Cola Suva Zone 2 competition was behind schedule due to some unforeseen circumstances but that did not dampen the athletes’ spirit to try and defend their title.

Delai says he believes in his athletes and he has full confidence in them that they can still deliver the goods.

He adds they have lost some of the gold medal prospects to other schools and some have gone overseas but that does not take away his belief in his current athletes.

Meanwhile, Grammar and Marist are currently leading the girls’ and boys’ division medal tally.
