The students, parents, guardians, teachers, and friends of Suva Grammar School came together this evening to recognise their brave sporting warriors during their School Sports Awards Night.

Almost 200 students were awarded certificates for their sporting prowess in basketball, hockey, netball and rugby.

This year, the Grammar Under 19 girls team won the Westmere Cup in the Fiji Secondary Schools Hockey National Tournament while the netball Under 19 girls team won the Secondary School Netball competition.

The Under 15 boys team won the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Basketball Championships.

Old Scholars President, Stanley Simpson also commended the students that were able to participate in multiple sports for their discipline to be able to balance that with their school work.

Also happening tonight was the 2010's Decade Kava Barrel Night at the school hard court.

Coming up tomorrow is the School Celebration and Fun Fair which is open to all on the school hard court, with the 60s and 70s decades as VIP guests from 9am to 5pm.

Also on tomorrow is the Rumble in the Jungle hosted by the 2000's decade at the Vodafone Arena Hall A.

All the celebrations will culminate on Saturday night with the 65th Anniversary Grand Ball at the Vodafone Arena.
