The government is now assessing how the issue in relation to Pacific Broadcasting Services should be handled however at this stage Communications Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said this is a consumer issue as people have not been receiving the Pay TV channels that they have paid for.
Sayed-Khaiyum said this raises some issues that will be assessed.
Commerce Commission chairman Doctor Mahendra Reddy said they want the complaints from the subscribers with the contracts.
He said they are also trying to gain access into the PBS office through legal means.
More than 300 complaints have been received by the Consumer Council in relation to PBS not providing the required services or taking payments.
PBS CEO Simon Fong could not be reached for a comment while the PBS office remains locked today.
