Govt and nation rally behind Drua Women in Super Rugby final showdown against Waratahs

As the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women take on the NSW Waratahs in the Super Rugby Women’s final this afternoon, Minister for Youth and Sports, Jese Saukuru is encouraging the players to showcase their tremendous talent, unity, and resilience on the field, knowing that the entire nation is rallying behind them.

While sending his best wishes to the Drua Women on behalf of the coalition government, Saukuru says the team has shown exceptional skill, perseverance, and dedication throughout the tournament, captivating audiences with their electrifying performances.

Saukuru has also expressed his confidence in the team's capabilities and their ability to represent Fiji with the utmost professionalism and sportsmanship.

The Minister says the coalition government and the people of Fiji stand firmly behind the Drua Women as they embark on this defining moment in their rugby journey.

He has also acknowledged the tireless efforts of the coaching staff, team management, and support personnel who have worked diligently to prepare the team for this monumental occasion.

He says their commitment and guidance has played a pivotal role in the team's success, and he extends his appreciation for their dedication.

Saukuru says the team's significant contribution to the development of women's rugby and its ability to empower young women athletes across Fiji is recognised and valued.
