Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service CEO, Dr. Hasmukh Lal

Government will only fund programs which are in the priority areas in the labour market.

This was stated by Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service CEO, Dr. Hasmukh Lal after the handing over of the Human Capital Development Plan.

He says they will focus on the actual demand in the labour market.

When questioned by fijivillage News on the priority areas, Dr. Lal says this year they have launched their community awareness handbook which lists all of these areas.

He says going forward this report will be used in terms of the national development of the policies on scholarships through the National Budget process.

Dr. Lal says he also concurs with Permanent Secretary for Education Selina Kuruleca on the automatic progression program for students being reviewed from next year.
