Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s head coach Ben Gollings has mentioned forward Jeremaia Matana and halfback Pilipo Bukayaro as two players to watch in this new season of the HSBC SVNS Series which will kick off in Dubai next week.

Gollings says Matana had a great tournament during the Oceania 7s Rugby Championship and he has been very consistent.

He says Matana is energetic around the field and emulates the energy and character that the team needs and Gollings is looking forward to having Matana on the field again this new season.

Gollings says as for Bukayaro, he is coming in from strength to strength.

He says Bukayaro’s defence is brilliant and in attack, he is a tough customer.

The team for the Dubai 7s is expected to be named by the end of this week or early next week.

Fiji is pooled alongside the USA, France and Great Britain.

Fiji will take on the USA at 6.06pm next Saturday, they will then play France at 9.52pm Saturday before playing Great Britain at 4am Sunday in their final pool match.

The cup quarter finals will begin at 6.58pm Sunday, the cup semi finals will kick off at 10.04pm Sunday and the final will be at 3.53am Monday.
