Former Fijian citizen allegedly stabbed to death by her husband during a domestic altercation in Santa Rosa

There has been an unfortunate death of a former Fijian citizen who was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband during a domestic altercation in Santa Rosa.

Through Police investigation, detectives have learned that the couple were involved in an argument that turned physical resulting in the husband allegedly stabbing the victim.

The man has been arrested for murder and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.

Santa Rosa Police Dispatch say they received a 9-1-1 call from a male subject stating a female had been stabbed.

They say the male subject reported the stabbing occurred at an apartment in the 2400 block of McBride Lane.

A Santa Rosa Police Department Officer was first to arrive and located the suspect still at the scene. He was cooperative with the officer and taken into custody.

They say the suspect was identified as Tunoa Meo, a 51-year-old Santa Rosa resident.

Officers then located the victim inside the apartment who was unresponsive and suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Officers began life saving measures and were quickly assisted by other emergency personnel.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.

The victim is a 51-year-old female resident of Santa Rosa. Her identity will be released following the notification of her next of kin.

At this time, SRPD Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident and looking to talk to any other witnesses.
