Five people arrested for drinking grog in Baulevu

Six arrests have been made in the Eastern Division whereby five were arrested for drinking grog at a grog shop in Baulevu.

The sixth arrest involved a 17-year-old student who was arrested for walking along Wainunu Road in Wainibuku during curfew hours.

Nine people were arrested in the last 24 hours for breaching health restrictions and curfew orders.

Three people were arrested in the Southern Division for being drunk and walking along Wailea Street, Raiwaqa during curfew hours.

Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu is urging people to continue to adhere to the health restrictions in place.

He says they will continue to monitor and enforce these restrictions.
