The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team has finished in 3rd place in the Fiji Airways Mini International 7s tournament leg 2 after claiming a 19-7 win over USA this afternoon.

The win was sweet revenge after the Fijiana side lost 17-14 to the USA yesterday in their first match.

The Fijiana started the game strongly scoring their first try in the first minute of play with a successful conversion to take an early 7-0 lead.

The Eagles tried to reply but the Fijiana defence was strong which resulted in the host turning the ball over and scoring their second try from within their own territory with the conversion unsuccessful.

Fiji led 12-0 at halftime.

USA started the second half well and scored their first try in the opening minutes of the second half to trail 12-7.

Fiji regrouped and scored another converted try in the 6th minute of the second half for the win.

Meanwhile, the Black Ferns finished 5th after beating Aussie Gold 36-5.
