Fijiana XVs’ strength is definitely with the ball - Cunningham

The Vodafone Fijiana XVs’ strength is definitely with the ball, and they have understanding players who can attack the line, offload, and create opportunities on the front foot.

This was highlighted by coach Ioan Cunngham today as the team prepares for the upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup that kicks off next Saturday in England.

Cunningham says the team’s attacking ability remains one of their biggest assets as they prepare to face some of the world’s top-ranked sides.

He says they want to use their strength to their advantage.

However, Cunningham emphasised the importance of striking the right balance in their approach, particularly against teams in the world’s top 10 and top 5 rankings.

The Fijiana XVs will leave our shores tomorrow for the Rugby World Cup.

They will take on Canada at 4.30am next Sunday in their first pool match.
