Fijiana 7s finishes 8th in Perth after going down 26-7 to Canada

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s have finished 8th at the HSBC Perth 7s after going down 26-5 to Canada in the 7th place play-off this evening.

The game went into the break with Canada ahead 12-0 after scoring two tries to Krissy Scurfield and Olivia Apps with one conversion.

Fijiana started the second half well with an unconverted try to Ilisapeci Delaiwau before Canada found their rhythm again and scored two more converted tries for the win.

Australia will play Ireland in the Women’s Cup final at 9.13 tonight.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men’s 7s side will play Ireland in the Men’s 3rd place playoff at 8.40 tonight after going down 22-7 to host Australia.

Australia will take on Argentina in the Men’s Cup final at 9.53 tonight.
