Fijiana 7s development crowned Oceania 7s champion after 14-5 win over Samoa in the final

The Fiji Airway Fijiana 7s development side has been crowned the new champions of the 2024 Oceania 7s tournament after beating Samoa Manusina 14-5 in the cup final tonight.

It was a tightly contested match as both teams went into halftime locked at nil-all.

Fiji came back strongly in the second spell and scored 2 converted tries in the 9th and 12th minute of the match before Samoa replied with an unconverted try at the stroke of fulltime.

Meanwhile, the Tonga Women’s 7s scooped 3rd place after thrashing Solomon Islands 41-5 in the 3rd place playoff.

The Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s development 7s side is currently playing Samoa in the Men’s Cup final.
