Concerns have been raised by certain sporting bodies in Fiji as to how Fiji lost its bid to Tonga to host the 2031 Pacific Games. The sporting federations have raised this issue and they demand explanations. They say Fiji’s sporting family deserves to know what transpired.

The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee sent congratulatory messages to our Pacific neighbours and wished them well for the 2031 Games.

Tonga received 12 votes while Fiji received 9 votes for the bid. We have contacted FASANOC. They are yet to respond.
