Dubai 7s: Fiji beats Canada 33-19 in 9th place semi final

The Fiji Airways men’s national 7s team scored five tries as they beat Canada 33-19 in the 9th place playoff semi-finals.

Captain Josua Vakurunabili led by example scoring a try and was instrumental in defence.

Waisea Nacuqu also scored a try for Fiji taking his total tries to five for this leg.

Other try scorers for Fiji include Manueli Maisamoa, Elia Canakaivata and Tevita Daugunu.

Fiji will meet Spain in the 9th place final at 8:38 tonight.

Spain had earlier beaten Fiji 33-19 in pool play.

Other results: Spain beat Japan 26-7, Australia beat Ireland 24-12 and South Africa beat Great Britain 21-7
