As the Cape Town 7s tournament kicks off today, the Fiji Airways National Men's and Women's teams are optimistic about a good outing and are hoping for a better finish this weekend.

Earlier this week Fiji Men's coach Ben Gollings revealed the team's goal of finishing the year on a high note and that starts today.

Both teams will be facing uphill battles in their pool games, but one thing is for sure, they will want to prove themselves this weekend.

Fiji Rugby Football Union Board Interim Chair Peter Mazey mentioned that he has been in touch with the players and they have asked for the fans and supporters to bear with them and keep supporting them.

The Fiji Men’s side will take on France at 8.28 tonight in their first pool match, they will then take on Spain at 11.06 tonight before taking on Argentina at 4.50am tomorrow in their final pool match.

The cup quarter-finals will kick off at 8.34pm tomorrow, the semi-finals will start at 12.56am Monday and the cup final will be at 5.23am Monday.

The Fijiana 7s side will play Japan at 7.22 tonight in their first pool match, they will then play Spain at 9.34 tonight before playing Australia at 1.54am tomorrow in their last pool match.

The Women’s cup quarter-finals will start at 7pm tomorrow, the semi-finals will be at 12.12 am Monday and the women’s cup final will kick off at 4.43 am Monday.
