“Give it your all and perform to the best of your ability.”

Those were the words of President Jioji Konrote to the Fiji Special Olympics team when they presented their i-tatau at Government House today.

Konrote says it is important for any good athlete to possess self-confidence and self-belief, hard work and confidence so that they can excel and succeed in their different roles.

He adds the great achievement of our past athletes such as the former Assistant Minister of Sports Iliesa Delana should be an inspiration to the athletes.

President Konrote also thanked the management team and Digicel for the support.

The Fiji Special Olympics team consists of 25 athletes who will be participating in Swimming, Athletics, Table Tennis and Football.

The Special Olympics World Summer Games will be held from the 14th to the 21st of next month at United Arab Emirates.
