The Fiji Men’s Basketball U15 fell to a heavy 115-56 loss to Samoa in the quarter final of the FIBA Oceania Basketball Cup last night.

Fiji had no answers to Samoa’s dominance and had no chance of taking out any of the quarters of the match.

Samoa won all the quarters dominantly, taking out the first quarter 34-19, the second quarter 33-10, 21-13 in the third quarter and 27-14 in the final quarter.

Fiji’s Ratu Gosho Vishanin scored 18 points in 30 minutes and 8 rebounds but it was not enough.

Fiji will now play Tahiti in the classification 5-7 competition at 6 tonight.

New Zealand will play Tonga at 5.30pm today in the first semi final and Australia will face Samoa at 8 tonight in the second semi final.
