Fiji Men’s and Fiji Kulas hit the ground running in Honiara

The Digicel Fiji Men’s and Digicel Fiji Kulas side have hit the ground running in Honiara as they had their first training run yesterday ahead of the Pacific Games 2023 which commences tomorrow.

Battling the Honiara heat, both teams showed determination and resilience to get through their first training sessions.

Both teams also received a huge cheer from locals while they trained and even had a special guest in Queensland Reds and Fijian Wallabies winger Suliasi Vunivalu stopping by during the team’s training session to show his support.

The Fiji Men’s side will kick off their Pacific Games 2023 campaign against Northern Mariana’s Island at 8pm on Saturday.

Their second pool match is against Tahiti at 8pm next Friday.

The Fiji Kulas’ first match is against Vanuatu at 4pm next Tuesday before taking on host Solomon Islands at 4pm next Friday.
