Fexco Fiji Pte Limited, the leading Western Union master agent in Fiji, has officially launched a strategic partnership with BRED Bank (Fiji) Pte Limited to improve access to banking services in remote parts of the country.

The partnership agreement was signed at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa in Denarau, Nadi.

Under this partnership, BRED Bank will gradually install EFTPoS terminals at Fexco Fiji outlets.

BRED Bank says this will allow customers to withdraw funds directly from their accounts at these locations, extending the bank’s reach to more remote communities.

It says together, BRED Bank Fiji and Fexco Fiji aim to promote financial inclusion and literacy nationwide.

BRED Bank Fiji CEO Pierre Tastet highlighted the strategic importance and wide-ranging benefits of the collaboration.

He says this initiative aligns with their goal of providing customers with seamless and accessible banking services.

Tastet says the two organisations are working together to bridge communities and expand access to financial inclusion and literacy throughout Fiji.

FEXCO Pacific CEO Christopher Wilby expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, saying it is pivotal in allowing them to extend another secure service option to the people of Fiji.

He says it represents their shared goal of improving financial inclusion and making services more affordable and convenient for everyone.

FEXCO Fiji can also facilitate direct transfers of remittance funds into customers’ BRED Bank Fiji accounts, offering a faster, safer, and more seamless experience for Western Union money transfer recipients.
