Fans to expect thrilling competition from the world’s best 7s players at Singapore 7s this weekend

Fans should expect thrilling competition from some of the world’s best rugby players as they look to display unmatched speed, skills, and athleticism at the HSBC Singapore 7s that kicks off this Friday.

With the world's top 12 men's and 12 women's rugby sevens teams, the race for the winner of the HSBC SVNS World Series is still open for both divisions.

In the Men’s division, Argentina still leads with 94 points, followed by Ireland with 86 points while the Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s 7s are in third place with 76 points.

In the Women’s division, New Zealand is currently leading and is locked on 106 points with second-placed Australia while France is third with 88 points.

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side is currently in 6th place with 54 points and is locked with 7th-placed Ireland.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men’s 7s will play the USA at 5.14pm this Friday in their first pool match before facing Great Britain at 10.30pm Friday. They will meet Ireland at 5.37pm on Saturday in their final pool match. The Cup quarter finals will start at 11pm this Saturday, the semi finals will start at 5.48pm Sunday and the final will kick off at 10.21pm Sunday.

The Fijiana 7s will open their Singapore 7s campaign against Great Britain at 4.28pm this Friday, then they will take on Brazil at 9.43pm this Friday in their second match and play Australia at 4.50pm this Saturday in their last pool match. The Women’s quarter finals will start at 8.27pm this Saturday, the semi finals will begin at 5.02pm this Sunday, and the Final will be held at 9.41pm this Sunday.
