Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf

Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Yusuf has commended teams for giving young players the opportunity to showcase their talent during the Extra Battle of the Giants 2025 group stages in Labasa.

Yusuf says it is exciting to see the emergence of young players this year, with teams like Lautoka, Nadroga, Ba, and Labasa fielding several young talents in top-tier matches.

He adds that Navua also has a young squad that has been making a strong impression.

He says this is a positive sign for the future of Fijian football and serves as a reminder to club administrators about the importance of giving young players sufficient game time to prepare for major competitions.

Yusuf also highlighted that the hard work teams put in during the Extra-Premier League is paying off, as the top four teams from the league have now qualified for the BOG semi-finals.

The 2025 BOG semi finals will be held this Saturday at Subrail Park in Labasa.

In the first semi final, hosts Labasa will face Navua at 2pm, while Rewa will take on Lautoka at 4pm in the second semi final.
