Having strict enforcement is critical during tough economic times and the Fijian Competition and Consumer is steadfast in its commitment to protecting the rights of Fijians.

This has been stressed by FCCC CEO Joel Abraham who is calling on the people to report the matter if they see any unlawful behaviour from businesses.

He says their nationwide enforcement continues and it is important to ensure that businesses do not profiteer unethically in such difficult times.

Abraham has also revealed that they have seen on a few occasions that certain items are expired however this is not a widespread problem.

He adds these are isolated incidents which have been picked up and the FCCC has taken these traders to court.
