Future innovators, engineers, scientists, and technology enthusiasts are encouraged to visit the Fiji National University’s 2023 Open Day at its four campuses—Nasinu, Naduna, Namaka, and Natabua—to learn about the programmes and courses offered by the College of Engineering, Science, and Technology (CEST).

The Derrick Campus in Samabula houses the College of Engineering, Science, and Technology, which has produced a number of quality graduates in the past who are currently working in various fields. The College was formerly known as the Fiji Institute of Technology (FIT).

CEST Dean Professor Tibor Pasinszki, said the College believed in nurturing not only the brightest minds but also the most curious ones, as it is curiosity that sparked innovation and innovation that changes the world.

“In the heart of our vibrant Derrick campus, we are more than just educators. We are mentors, guides, and partners on your journey towards excellence,” Professor Pasinszki said.

“Our college is a place where imagination knows no bounds. Whether you dream of designing sustainable cities, revolutionising communication technology, exploring the mysteries of the universe, or harnessing the power of data, we have the tools, knowledge, and support to turn your dreams into reality.”

CEST is one of the largest Colleges at the Fiji National University that offers both Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Higher Education programmes in Engineering, Science and Technology, ranging from Short Courses to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

The College places a high value on attaining international accreditation and ensuring the benchmarking of the programmes to meet global standards.

“Our laboratories, workshops, and cutting-edge facilities are where ideas come to life. Whether you’re experimenting with robotics, conducting experiments in our state-of-the-art labs, or delving into complex mathematical equations, our campus is your playground for discovery,” Professor Pasinszki said.

“We are not just preparing you for a career; we are preparing you to be the leaders, problem solvers, and change-makers of tomorrow. Our mission is to empower you to make a difference, not only in your own life but in the world around you.”

“I invite you to explore, engage, and envision your future with us. Join us today, and let’s embark on a journey together—one that will challenge you, inspire you, and ultimately lead you to a future of limitless opportunities.”

The FNU 2023 Open Day will be held at the Naduna Campus, Labasa, from October 5-6, Nasinu Campus, Suva, from October 6-7, Namaka Campus, Nadi and Natabua Campus in Lautoka on October 6.

Prospective students and those interested can stay updated regarding the FNU 2023 Open Day by following the University’s FNU website and the official social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
