Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Education, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Viliame Gavoka, says Good Friday and Easter encapsulates the essence of hope, redemption, and the triumph of light over darkness.

While sharing his Easter message Gavoka says as we delve into the significance of these occasions, we must open our hearts and minds to the profound messages that it imparts.

He says as Good Friday marks the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, a day of solemnity and reflection, it is also a reminder of the sacrifice made for the salvation of humanity.

He says Jesus, the embodiment of love and compassion, willingly endured unimaginable suffering, bearing the weight of people's sins upon his shoulders.

Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary for Education, Selina Kuruleca says on this day, we are called to contemplate the depth of Christ's love and the magnitude of his sacrifice.

He says despite the cruelty inflicted upon Jesus, he responded with forgiveness and grace, teaching us the transformative power of love.

Kuruleca says Good Friday challenges us to confront our shortcomings, seek forgiveness, and extend compassion to others.

The permanent secretary further says Easter is a time of jubilation and renewal, a celebration of new beginnings as it is a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is light on the horizon.

She says the resurrection signifies God's victory over sin and death, offering hope to the world and inspiring us to live with courage and faith.

The Assistant Minister for Education, Iliesa Vanawalu while sharing his thoughts stated that as we commemorate Good Friday and Easter as sacred days, we must not only reflect their significance but also embody the teachings in our lives.

He says we must emulate the love, forgiveness, and selflessness demonstrated by Jesus Christ and strive to be beacons of hope in a world often shrouded in darkness.

Vanawalu says through sacrifice and redemption, we are offered the gift of eternal life and wishes that these holy days serve as a source of inspiration and strength, guiding people to their journey of faith.
