Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad

Good news for civil servants as they can expect to get their salary payments in their accounts by midday today as part of the Easter celebration.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad says this is a gesture of appreciation for their hard work and commitment.

Professor Prasad says the Ministry is processing civil service salaries a day early for them to enjoy the Easter weekend with their family and friends.

He says Easter is a sacred holiday for Christians that symbolises sacrifice, forgiveness and grace, and Fijians should take this time to reflect on these values during the long weekend, and take time to connect with family and loved ones.

The Deputy Prime Minister wishes all Fijians a peaceful and blessed Easter weekend.
