EFL CEO Hasmukh Patel

Services delivered by the Energy Fiji Limited has been affected as they have lost about 300 people in the last 3 years, who have been replaced by apprentices.

This has been confirmed by EFL CEO Hasmukh Patel who says they have recruited a lot of new people at an apprentice level but they are raw and to bring them up to par of a certified line mechanic, will take three to four years.

Patel says not all but the majority of them have migrated.

The CEO says their administrative or finance staff have left after getting better positions outside the organisation.

He adds this problem is not only being faced by EFL, it's being faced by many organisations in Fiji which we need to resolve.
