Fiji-born France-based outside back Alivereti Duguivalu was instrumental for his Perpignan side today as he scored a try to help them secure a stunning 42-35 win over Toulouse in round 26 of the French Top 14 competition.

Duguivalu started at outside centre and was explosive in attack running a total of 84 metres in 14 runs, including 1 linebreak.

The opposition had their hands full as the 27-year-old threatened the defence with his barnstorming runs, seeing him beating a total of 5 defenders.

Though the Nadroga man did not make the 44-member Fiji Water Flying Fijians squad for the upcoming July tests, he has not given up yet as he pushed for yet another impressive performance today.

Meanwhile, fellow countryman and former France 7s winger Tavite Veredamu started on the wing for Perpignan as well today as they helped their side secure a stunning victory.

In other matches Top 14 today, Bordeaux thrashed Vannes 59-28, Stade Francais defeated Castres 21-10, Pau beat Stade Rochelais 32-18, Clermont beat Montpellier 23-10, Bayonne defeated Toulon 18-10, and Racing 92 defeated Lyon 47-34.
