Disciplinary process in relation to the RFNS Kiro running aground underway

The disciplinary process in relation to the Fiji Navy vessel, RFNS Kiro which ran aground in 2016 is now taking place.

This was revealed by the Deputy Commander of Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Brigadier General Mohammed Aziz while speaking before the Public Accounts Committee today.

Recommendations had been made earlier for disciplinary action to be taken against the officers involved the incident.

Brigadier General Aziz told the committee he would not be able to make further comments regarding the matter until the disciplinary process is completed.

RFNS Kiro ran aground on Cakauyawa reef near Makuluva Island in July 2016.
