A woman has pleaded guilty while her co-accused has pleaded not guilty to charges relating to the death of three-year-old Elijah Jibola.
Susana Radinivulagi pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter arising from a breach of duty when she appeared in the Lautoka High Court earlier this week.
Her co-accused, Komal Sapna Singh pleaded not guilty to one count of manslaughter.
It is alleged that on the 29th of January 2026, Radinivulagi neglected to supervise the child in the course of her duty, which led to the child's death.
It is also alleged that on the same day, Singh drove a motor vehicle in Sigatoka in a reckless manner, causing the death of the child, who was crossing the road at the time of the incident.
The matter has been adjourned to 14th June for the summary of facts and a pre-trial conference.
The accused persons' bail has been further extended.
