British actor Anthony Head, best known for his roles in TV shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ted Lasso, Merlin and Little Britain, has died at the age of 72.
Head found international fame as Rupert Giles in the hit supernatural teen drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the late 1990s.
He later had a recurring role as the Prime Minister in the sketch show Little Britain, played King Uther Pendragon in the BBC series Merlin, and appeared as former football club owner Rupert Mannion in Ted Lasso.
His daughters, Emily and Daisy, said their father passed away peacefully from complications of pneumonia while surrounded by his family.
The family said that "his legacy will live on" and added that they considered themselves "lucky" to have watched him do what he loved throughout his career.
