Deputy Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew has retired, marking the end of his policing career with 36 years of experience in the Force.

A farewell ceremony was held in his honour, led by Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu and attended by senior members of the Force, paying tribute to Chew’s dedication and loyal service.

Tudravu says he appreciates Chew’s leadership as he led the Force during a challenging time.

He says leadership is often a lonely road, and he understands the level of scrutiny DCP Chew faced during his role as Acting Commissioner.

While reflecting on his journey, Chew remembers walking into Nasova 36 years ago with a backpack and now he leaves with knowledge, skills, respect and most importantly a family.

The former Deputy Commissioner says he will continue to support the organisation and will be around to provide assistance.

He urges officers to plan ahead for their retirement.
