Cuvu College expecting tough challenge from Ba Pro in Western Zone U18 semifinals

Defending Vodafone Deans Western Zone Secondary School Rugby U18 champion, Cuvu College will be expecting a tough challenge from Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute when they meet in the zone’s semi final this weekend and both teams are aiming to earn a spot in the National Deans quarter finals.

Cuvu College have shown they mean business during the competition this year and they are determined to retain their zone title.

However, Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute is known for their resilience and tactical game structure, and they have proved themselves as strong contenders after the quarter finals last week. Cuvu will take on Ba Pro at 4.30pm this Saturday at Lawaqa Park.

In another Under 18 semi final, Natabua High School will face Ratu Navula College at 3.10pm at Lawaqa Park as well.

Meanwhile, in the U14 playoffs, Ratu Navula will play Nakauvadra High School, in the U15 semi finals, Ba Methodist High School will take onNatabua and Sigatoka Methodist College will face Ba Pro at 9.30pm.

In the U16 semifinals, Ba Methodist will face Natabua while Cuvu College will play Ba Pro. In the U17 semifinals, Sigatoka Valley Secondary School will face Natabua and Xavier College will play Ratu Navula.

The U19 semifinal will see Ba Methodist facing Ratu Navula and Ba Pro facing Nasikawa Vision College. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students in uniforms and $2 for children under 12.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Zone finals will be held tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium and Buckhurst Park and the Southern Zone finals will be held on the same venue on Saturday
