The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team is through to the semifinals of the Singapore 7s after beating Series leaders South Africa 19-14 in the second quarterfinal a while ago.

Vuiviawa Naduvalo was once again instrumental as he opened the scoring before Joseva Talacolo scored Fiji’s second try.

Fiji led 12-7 at the break.

Waisea Nacuqu extended Fiji’s lead in the second half to 19-7.

South Africa scored soon after to reduce the margin to 5 points.

They were close to leveling the scores however a last ditch tackle by Jerry Tuwai close to the try line sealed the win for Fiji.

Captain Tevita Daugunu says the job is not done yet.

Fiji will now take on Australia in the first semifinal at 8.13pm.

The final will be played at 11.28pm.
