Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama told the Chiefs and Crusaders players that they can leave Fiji knowing that they have undoubtedly inspired young Fijian boys and girls who were watching maybe in Suva or far across the nation in a rural community to pursue rugby with renewed passion.
While speaking at the after match function, Bainimarama says they have inspired them to follow a healthier and more active lifestyles, to chase the dream that each of the players have achieved.
Bainimarama says the greatest impact of having superstars like the Chiefs and the Crusaders here in Fiji does not come from points on the board; it comes from the inspiration that they instill in our people, particularly the young rugby fans who look up to the players with such admiration.
He says he is proud of the off‑the‑field outreach that they have witnessed in the days prior to the match.
