Chew confirms he did not apply for Commissioner role, plans retirement

Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew has confirmed that he did not apply for the position of Commissioner.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Chew says he is looking forward to retiring while still fit and healthy, in order to pursue opportunities beyond policing.

Chew will serve as Deputy Police Commissioner once Rusiate Tudravu assumes office on 3rd February.

He became Acting Commissioner after Sitiveni Qiliho was suspended in January 2023.
