Boston Celtics have booked their place in the NBA finals after clinching a close 105-102 victory over the Indiana Pacers and making it a 4-0 in game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals today.

Celtics’ forward Jaylen Brown showed his class scoring 29 points in 44 minutes and making 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

His performance earned him the Larry Bird Trophy.

His teammate and fellow forward Jayson Tatum scored 26 points in 44 minutes and made 13 rebounds and 8 assists.

The Celtics claimed the first quarter 29-27 before the Pacers came back and clinched the second quarter 30-29.

The Pacers continued the momentum as they claimed the third quarter 26-22 before the Celtics came back stronger and claimed the last quarter 25-19 which made the difference.

The Celtics will now wait for the result from the Western Conference Finals match between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves to determine their opponent in the grand final.

Mavericks are currently leading the Timberwolves 3-0 and a win for them tomorrow will seal the deal and book a showdown with the Celtics.

The Mavericks will play the Timberwolves at 12.30pm tomorrow in game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
