The Boston Celtics have extended their lead in the NBA Finals series to 2-0 after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 105-98 in game 2 this afternoon.

Celtics guard Jrue Holiday stood out for his team scoring a total of 26 points in 41 minutes.

He also made 11 rebounds and 3 assists.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic scored 32 points for the Mavericks in 42 minutes with 11 rebounds and 11 assists but was not enough to help his team pull a win today.

The Mavericks won the first quarter 28-25 before the Celtics came back and took out the 2nd quarter (29-23) and 3rd quarter (29-23).

The Mavericks managed to clinch the fourth quarter 24-22 but the scoreline in the 2nd and 3rd quarters proved the difference.

Game 3 of the NBA finals between the two teams will be at 12.30pm this Thursday.
