Can the Drua break the streak at Forsyth Barr Stadium?

The Highlanders will be looking to maintain their winning streak against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua at Forsyth Barr Stadium when they meet tonight in round 9 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.

Both teams have played three times in Super Rugby Pacific, and the Highlanders have won all three games.

The Highlanders defeated the Drua 27-24 when they played in Suva in 2022, and they showed their dominance when they hosted the Drua at Forsyth Barr Stadium in 2023 and 2024.

The Highlanders thrashed the Drua 57-24 in 2023 and a whopping 39-3 in 2024.

This season, the Highlanders and Drua are both on lengthy losing runs and in need of competition points as the second half of the regular season gets going.

Fijian Drua coach Glen Jackson says the next three are really important but they definitely take a game at a time because they need a win against the Highlanders, who are very good and hard-working.

Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph says they are five points outside the top six, so everyone is clear on the challenge in front of them.

He says the execution of their game plan has been off over the last few games, but he knows this team never stops working.

Joseph expects the players to give it everything against the Drua tonight.

The Drua will face the Highlanders at 7.05 tonight at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.

In other matches, the Blues are currently playing Moana Pasifika , and the Reds will play the Brumbies at 9.35 tonight.
