CJ Patel Group has confirmed its sponsorship for this year's Skipper Provincial Cup and Inkk Farebrother Challenge Competitions.

CJ Patel Group Marketing Manager Ashwin Prasad says unlike last year where there was a lot of uncertainties, they are pleased to partner with the FRU to bring the excitement of rugby back.

He says their passion for rugby has always been grassroot development as this is the nurturing ground of our future stars.

Fiji Rugby CEO John O'Connor says they are looking forward to kick off, especially after the 2021 competition could not be completed due to the second wave of COVID-19 and the lockdown that followed in April.

He says the FRU is thankful for CJ Patel for their steadfast support since 2020 even though they were facing their own challenges due to the pandemic and were struggling financially.

The Skipper Cup and Inkk Farebrother Challenge will resume on the 19th of this month.

The resumption of this year’s competition will see Naitasiri defending the Farebrother trophy against Namosi at Naluwai Ground.

In other matches, Nadroga will meet Tailevu at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, Northland will face Rewa at Gatward Park in Korovou and Suva will take on Nadi at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
