Police have confirmed a CID Officer visited the SODELPA Headquarters to carry out an investigation in relation to a complaint lodged by SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu against Party Leader, Viliame Gavoka and General Secretary, Lenaitasi Duru.

Duru, in a statement says this is a normal investigation procedure and SODELPA will cooperate with authorities as required by the law.

He says SODELPA trusts the legal system and will uphold the principles of natural justice and that everyone is innocent until proven guilty.

Duru says he is urging party members and supporters not to be alarmed as this is a trivial matter and it will not derail the good work carried out this year and their preparation towards the 2022 general elections.

The Party General Secretary adds from now onwards, SODELPA will not make any further comments in relation to the complaint by Mosese Bulitavu.
