Body of 7-year-old child recovered, while search continues for the 8-year-old

The body of the 7-year-old child that was swept away by strong currents while fishing at the Korociri River yesterday afternoon has been found, while the search continues for the 8-year-old.

Police say a 59-year-old woman drowned and her body was recovered a few metres from where they were last seen.

The alleged incident occurred after 1pm yesterday.
