Black Ferns kicks off second leg of Mini 7s tournament with a 25-14 win over Aussie Gold

The New Zealand Black Ferns 7s side kicked off their second leg of the Fiji Airways Mini International 7s campaign on a high note beating Australia Gold 25-14.

The Black Ferns started the game strongly taking an early 15-0 at half time.

Australian Gold came back strongly in the second spell scoring two converted tries to reduce the deficit to 15-14.

The Black Ferns scored 2 further unconverted tries to seal their victory.

The Black Ferns will take on the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side at 12.50pm in their second game.

In the other match played so far, Australia Green beat USA 17-5.

Fijiana is currently playing France.
